The National Museum of History of Moldova is one of the most important museum institutions in the Republic of Moldova, located in the historic center of Chișinău. Founded in 1983, the museum houses more than 345,000 exhibits illustrating the country’s history and culture from prehistoric times to the modern era. Its permanent exhibitions include archaeological artifacts, collections of weapons, coins, photographs, and historical heritage objects of outstanding value. Housed in the former boys’ gymnasium building, the museum serves as a major cultural and scientific center of Moldova.
